在新界鄉郊的山坡和河岸邊，政府建造了一些人工河道與斜坡。這些混凝土構築物不是為了美觀而存在，而是為了防洪和防止山泥傾瀉。每逢旱季，當這些構築物逐漸乾涸，它們會顯露出強大的生命力。排水孔和縫隙上會有一些野草、灌木或青苔悄然萌生，為這片人造景觀帶來點綴。我會以客觀、樸實和冷靜的視角系統記錄人工河道與斜坡，目的就是讓人重新審視這些角落並揭示它們的本質和功能，以及思考自然與人工環境的關係。
On the hillsides and along the riverbanks in the countryside of the New Territories, the authorities have constructed artificial slopes and waterways. These concrete structures are not merely cosmetic but serve to prevent landslides and floods.
During the dry season, as the constructions dry slowly, they reveal a lush vitality. Weeds, thickets, and mosses gently sprout out of the cracks and drainage holes, adding a dash of ornamentation to this man-made landscape.
I systematically record these man-made waterways and slopes with an impartial, modest, and detached point of view. My intention is to offer an alternative look at these corners, unmasking their nature and purpose, and to ponder the connection between nature and built-up surroundings.
